Short Bio – I am an indie author writing space adventure. I am also an avid gamer and all-round spaceship enthusiast.
Longer Bio – My earliest reading genre was fantasy rather than sci-fi. That all changed when I came into contact with the online game EVE Online. I had been casting about for a fantasy story, but decided on the spot to write a space adventure novel. Three and a half years later, that novel became From the Dark.
Email – firstname.lastname@example.org. I read all mail even if I am unable to respond.
Reading – My favorite authors/poets from classic literature are James Joyce, Virginia Woolf, and Patrick Kavanagh. My undergrad thesis was an application of critical theory to Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns. I still love all sorts of critical theory.
My favorite authors in sci-fi and fantasy are William Gibson, Raymond E. Feist, Piers Anthony, and Douglas Adams. Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman’s Dragonlance series made me fall in love with fantasy and reading in general.
From time to time I read non-fiction accounts and histories of World War II.
Gaming – I played more fantasy RPGs when I was younger. After coming into contact with EVE Online, I devoured any space-related game I could get my hands on. I like roguelikes too.
My earliest fantasy games were Baldur’s Gate, Ultima Online, and Morrowind. My current space games include Space Engineers, Endless Sky, and Galactic Civilizations II/III.
